Questionnare on suggestions for next year.

Another season of our Twilight Seminars is over. If you attended any of the Tuesday evening presentations, we would love for you to comment so we can decide how to proceed for next year.
  1. Which seminars did you attend?
  2. Were the topics of interest to you and did you learn useful information in them?
  3. Should we continue the Twilight Seminar Series next year?
  4. Do you have any topics you would like us to discuss?
  5. How can we improve our programs?
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer these questions as well as any additional comments you wish to make. You may answer by continuing this blog topic or you may send an email to amy@norwaygardens.com.

Crabgrass is busy growing in many lawns in our area. Now is the time to control it while the plant is still young and has not yet sent up its seed heads. Use Weed-Out with Crabgrass Killer for effective control at this time of year.

Blossom End Rot is a fungus that results from a calcium imbalance often happening after a period of lots of rain and/or rapid growth of your plants. It most often is found on tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and squash. The best control for Blossom End Rot is Bonide's Rot Stop . Use it now!

Japanese Beetles are especially bad this summer.  In order to control them you need to use a contact killer such as Sevin (active ingredient is Carbaryl) or trap them with beetle traps and dispose of them that way. Either way is quite effective when used properly and both are available at Norway Gardens. We have Sevin in several forms -- dust, ready-to-use spray, hose-end sprayer, and concentrate. In addition, we have beetle traps which work very well when positioned to draw the beetles away from your susceptible plants. Follow package instructions and you will be pleased with the results.

At Norway Gardens we have gardening professionals available to help answer all your gardening questions.
